Responsible Design
At Tom Rossau, responsible design is at the core of everything we do. We believe sustainability is an ongoing journey—one that requires continuous learning and improvement.
Greenspark
Since 2024, we’ve proudly partnered with GreenSpark, planting a tree for every lamp sold. This initiative plays a vital role in global reforestation efforts, helping to restore ecosystems, support biodiversity, and combat climate change.
By contributing to reforestation, we not only offset our environmental impact but actively work towards regenerating areas that have been depleted over time. However, our commitment to sustainability goes far beyond this initiative.

"Why insist on an approach that destroys the world?"
– Tom Rossau

Responsible production
At Tom Rossau, responsible production is the core of what we do. We keep our production local to reduce transportation impact and support our community. Over 90% of our materials are responsibly sourced within Europe, including our most used material—birch, which is responsibly sourced in Finland. We prioritize reusing cutouts, recycling waste, and minimizing the use of plastic and steel. By focusing on sustainable materials, particularly wood, we reduce our carbon footprint while ensuring long-lasting quality.
Flatpack
As part of our commitment to sustainability, we have introduced a new flat-pack solution for the No.111 series that reduces packaging waste by up to 80%. This innovation is one of three key initiatives developed through the Green Circular Transition program, reflecting our ongoing efforts to minimize our environmental footprint while maintaining the highest standards of quality and design.
By choosing Tom Rossau, you’re not just investing in timeless, sculptural lighting—you’re contributing to a more sustainable future. Whether you’re a business or an individual, your choice makes a difference.
